Day 127: High Line
The Highline is a 1930s freight railway turned elevated park in the West Village. The landscaping is inspired by the plant growth after the railway was abandoned. The park opened a couple of weeks ago and has been on the agenda for many New Yorkers to check out.

day 123: the frying pan
The Frying Pan is a bar built on a historic lightship (1929) that spent 3 years at the bottom of a bay. Situated at the Chelsea piers, its a great way to see the sunset on the Hudson while sipping on cocktails.

day 122: visits from best mate 2
I must be a very lucky man this week as I have 3 of my best friends visiting me from all over the world. Phil from San Fran is the first of the lot to visit.

Last night I went to see Tanlines (local Brooklyn boys), Solid Gold (one of my current favs) & Free Energy (up and commers recently signed to DFA). It was part of the Northside Festival (a four-day celebration of New York City’s independent music and art scene held throughout Williamsburg). Twas a fun gig put on by the Modular crew.
