Tonight I caught up with Allison who I haven’t seen for a good 7 years. I’ve only met her once in Sydney through one of my best friends Olivia. Today, she is still as cool as the day I met her. Allison’s family owns the event space ‘The Foundry‘ in Long Island City. The space is a restored 19th Century metal foundry. It has been hired by the likes of Sopranos, MOMA and Sex and the City. The complex consisted of many different quarters, it felt like an inner city castle. I could only imagine what it growing up would’ve been like for Allison in this place. I was invited to movie night where we watched the old American 70s classic Dazed and Confused.
