day 36: prohibition, battles & happy endings.

Another busy weekend exploring this city’s diverse offering.

> Owned by Tim Robbins, the Back Room is housed in an actual Speakeasy during the prohibition days.
The entrance is disguised by a toy store that says “Lower East Side Toy Company“.

Hence the name.

> From the battle of the dance moves to battle of the creative minds. Cut&Paste is an international design tournament. 2D/3D/Motion designers are given a topic like ‘predicting the future’ and have 20mins to battle it out in front of an audience.

    Great story telling via pics Nat!

    I’m not sure if it’s just the style of photos, your camera or the fact that you are hanging out in dark places but they all seem have a very dark and dirty feel about them. Knowing you, I’m going with the latter :)
